I am continually asking God to reveal Himself to the people of different religions who make up the Parkdale community. Last week, we were scheduled to have a BBQ and Gospel teaching to wind up our summer soccer league. The wind up is an important day each year as hundreds of Parkdale people from all nations come out. The thunderstorms that were forecasted for the whole evening threatened our plans, so I asked many prayer partners to pray. Minutes before the game the dark clouds released a downpour. I told the kids on my team that I was going to ask my God to stop the rain. They were intrigued.
"You can ask Him that?" they asked me. I assured them that we could and minutes later the rain stopped, and we enjoyed a beautiful clear evening and somehow a dry field too! This situation was perfect for teaching the Gospel, but I'm quite sure God did His own sharing before we ever got to the lesson when He revealed His power over the weather to the kids.
