This summer, we have seen that we are to never underestimate the power of the poor, to respond out of their suffering to the prompting of the Spirit. As the ministry here continues to grow and more people become followers of Christ, we have learned to teach the flock to take ownership of this church community through giving, as well as through their unique abilities and gifts. Some who once were affiliated with gangs and who have become disciples are now looking to take theological studies and become leaders who can disciple others in the church and in their community. We have also been deeply blessed by the fellowship and one-on-one discipleship of couples. Please pray with us for the monetary resources and relationships necessary to give these new young leaders the theological training they need to become solid leaders for the future of this community.
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen" (Ephesians 3:20-21).
