I am very excited about the community that God has been developing at Faith in Focus. Not only do we have believers who are devoted to one another and invested in the ministry, but we also have non-believers/non-church-goers who hang out with us and hear the Bible messages.
One such person who does not yet believe in Christ is from Japan. For quite some time, he has been attending our worship services and attending various events we host. He is a website designer and has decided to bless us by creating a new website for us as a way to thank us for being there for him. He has done a great job and invested a lot of time in putting this website together, and we hope that the new site will go live in the next couple of weeks, which will be very helpful when it comes to catching the attention of young adults moving downtown.
What is even more exciting is that last night he asked if we were returning to our regular services in the fall (we have been running Alpha on Sunday evenings throughout the summer and have seen a number of international students discussing spiritual issues). Even though he is not yet a believer (to the best of my knowledge), he told me that he loves the worship time and the songs we sing.
