One of the ministries of Faith in Focus is the art project, an after school program that targets children from a local housing project. This ministry grew out of the passion of Spencer Vader, a pastor with Toronto Alliance Church/Faith in Focus. Spencer was getting tired in ministry, partly because he was not using his passions and gifts as much as he wanted to. After reflecting and praying, Spencer thought of the idea of running a program targeting children of Alexandra Park (a community he is very much attached to and loves) that used art (he is a musician and adores the arts) to teach children that they have gifts and have much to offer, along with teaching about Jesus. There was incredible response to this program. Around fifteen kids were registered right off the bat and many others were interested.
