Thanksgiving Sunday on October 13 was indeed a day of thanksgiving as we had a baptism service. Six people were baptized; all between the ages of 50-80. There were two couples, both in their 70s, and a mother and daughter duo. Our baptism services are always family affairs with sons and daughters-in-law, daughters and sons-in-law, and grandchildren of the candidates joining us for the service. There were amazing testimonies of how they came to Christ and a common theme was that they “never” thought they would one day come to church, much less accept Christ and be baptized. In typical Hakka style, the service ended with dinner provided by the families of those that were baptized.
