Every city needs more churches to bring the presence of Jesus to people.

At Resurrection, our mission is to be a house of extraordinary prayer where we ask the Spirit of God to reveal His heart to us, so that we will be compelled to extend Christ's love to every person in our lives.

Our hope is that our community would be a place seen as a house of prayer for all nations, where there is a sense of expectancy around what God is doing and how the Spirit is moving; and where grace abounds. As we move forward, our hope is to build and train up the next generation of leaders and church planters, focusing on God's Kingdom and on directing people to the hope and power they can have in a resurrected life in Christ.

Taking a team approach, Resurrection is led by two couples: the Carrolls and the Milners. Read more about them below.

Scott and Chrystal Carroll

Scott & Chrystal Carroll didn’t grow up serving God but came to faith later in life. They have a blended family of 4 children. Scott’s radical transformation and passion for the lost coupled with Chrystal’s love of service and gifts in administration are a perfect combination for church planting. Scott served in the military for 11 years while Chrystal has held various positions in the administrative field. After having children, along with Scott's medical release from the military, their passion to pursue ministry deepened. Scott has completed an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies and a BA in Christian Studies (Briercrest College) as well as a Master’s in Pastoral Theology from Kingswood University. They are passionate about homeschooling their kids, and love family time with pizza and movie, nature, and sports. After work, Scott can be found umpiring baseball or reffing hockey to be active in the community. They are very excited to bring their gifts and passions to New Ventures, and find no greater joy than in seeing people come to faith and being transformed by the love of God. Have questions for the Carrolls? Email Scott.

Dorilee and Tim Milner

Dorilee & Tim Milner have led worship together from the very beginning of their friendship as freshmen in Bible college. Together they have grown a ministry devoted to raising the quality of worship and music in the local church by equipping teams and leaders to re-think their focus and the purpose of true worship. The Milners' passion is for churches to embrace worship that is rooted in Scripture, Spirit-aware, and Christ-centred. Tim and Dorilee offer worship workshops for teams and leaders interested in developing musical excellence, theological understanding, and structural direction. They also offer consulting, and one-on-one coaching for worship leaders. When not co-leading Resurrection with the Carrolls, Tim is songwriter and recording artist. He serves as the Dean of Chapel at Crandall University, where he directs the worship ministry minor. Dorilee has years of experience leading worship herself, from women's conferences to pastoral events. Have questions for the Milners? Email Tim.
