The vision of North York Central is to cultivate and grow a Christ-centered community that can faithfully connect with the people in the city and make God’s love known and felt.
North York Central believes that it all starts with growing deep, intimate relationships with God, and allowing God’s grace to transform every aspect of our lives. As a community, they seek God as they build relationships with one another and grow together through the teachings and application of God’s word, prayer, and sharing in each other’s lives. As they begin the journey of transition and establishing a new church they move forward joyfully in faith to live out these values amongst each other, and within the North York community.
North York Central is pleased to welcome Justin Kang as their new Lead Pastor as of September 9th, 2018.
Justin Kang is a second generation Korean born in Toronto whose big passions are for corporate prayer, one-on-one mentoring and developing leaders. He grew up in the church but didn’t commit to seriously following Jesus until high school, at which time he had a powerful experience through the church that eventually became what is now North York Central! Along the way, Justin completed his Bachelor’s of Psychology at York University and also completed his Master’s of Theology and Ministry at Fuller. He met his wife Grace through mutual friends and they dated for 3 months before Grace went on a missions trip to Tanzania. They got engaged immediately upon her return and have been happily married for about a year. Together they love movie dates, walking their dog, and trying new restaurants in the area. They are thrilled to be embarking on a new journey together as New Venture leaders.
