Proximity

Under the leadership of Pastor Jay Williamson, Proximity began meeting on January 21st, 2018 in the Ottawa West region.

Proximity is a new church in West Ottawa that launched Sunday January 21st and has a heart to be community minded and incarnational with a focus on home groups and missional living.

Proximity Church has a passion to declare Gods word fully and contextually within the Ottawa West region. We will live out our faith in our neighbourhoods with a focus on community service and discipleship through missional living (outreach and community service). 

We also will actively pursue further church planting opportunities in rural West Ottawa communities as home groups grow or opportunities to partner arise. We will be a relational church that prioritizes connection with God and each other over systems and structure or performance. 

Our name “PROXIMITY” will serve as a reminder of the value of abiding in Christ and in relationship with others both inside and outside the church family.

Jay Williamson  has served in a variety of ministry roles since graduating from Bible School in 1993 ranging from youth to lead pastor to planter. Together he and his wife Heather have 3 incredible children Cassie, Andrew and Naomi. As a family they have enjoyed serving the church in both urban and rural settings and look forward to launching a NEW expression in West Ottawa this year. Jay also enjoys good food, friends, classic cars, motorcycles and peanut M&M’s.
