“A church plant should be the outcome of doing mission and not the mission itself.”

At least, this is the philosophy for church planting which is resonating in the hearts of many leaders in the Central Canadian District. Together, these leaders have dreamed of an emerging stream of New Ventures which will focus on meeting intensely practical needs, starting with a pilot project in Owen Sound this fall.

Named for the essence of the Christian faith - that Jesus gave His life "in exchange" for ours, theXchange centres will be storefront missions that offer free debt and marriage coaching to the community. Teams of debt coaches and marriage coaches are presently being recruited and trained. Complimentary ministries offered through theXchange centres will be the Alpha course, and, where applicable, Celebrate Recovery and ESL. New believers will be integrated into disciple-making communities of faith.

Greg Musselman is excited to be leading the pilot eXchange centre in Owen Sound, and is currently assembling a development team. Greg will also be serving part-time as Lead Pastor of the Church Without Walls.

Greg Musselman Owen Sound

Greg Musselman was born and raised in the Owen Sound area. He met his wife Julie, now a high school math and business teacher, at Western University. They have been married 14 years, and are parents to three children: Rowan (9), Zyan (7) and Ana (5). While attending UWO, Jesus affirmed His call on Greg's life to leadership in the church. Following university, Greg attended Tyndale Seminary, gaining an MDIV degree in Pastoral Studies. Since then, Greg has served as a Pastor of Student Ministries in Owen Sound as well as an Associate Pastor in Chatham, ON. As of August, he is back in the Owen Sound area piloting this New Venture as well as serving as Lead Pastor at Church Without Walls. He is also teaching a course for Pathways School of Ministry on the topic of disciple-making. In his free time, Greg enjoys anything outdoors with his family (hiking, beaches), coffee with Julie, and home renovations and design.
